We are a group for people who love Jeeps and love to hang out with other people who do too. It's primarily a local social group (folks who live within approximately 50 miles of Oakwood, IL) so we can get together in our Jeeps, go places in our Jeeps, talk about our Jeeps, and generally just enjoy our Jeeps together. We also host a yearly event that raises money for Veteran issues, as well as other community outreaches. Some wheel and some don't. Some events will be planned but we are sometimes spontaneous so keep an eye on the Facebook group in case we decide to go somewhere on a whim. Any kind of Jeep is welcome. Oh, and Middle Fork Jeeps loves America, and we love our veterans and active service members, as well as our first responders.
The first Middle Fork Jeep Show was held in 2018 in Kickapoo State Park in Oakwood, IL, just feet from the banks of the Middle Fork River, which is how the event got its name, and the Jeep club that grew out of it. The founders of this event, which has grown in size each year and is now called the Middle Fork Jeep Fest, are strongly committed to supporting those who have served our country. In 2019, we decided that all event proceeds going forward would benefit veterans, primarily those suffering from the aftereffects of combat, and this has been our goal ever since. The earlier show proceeds went to K9's for Warriors, a national group that provides PTSD service dogs to veterans around the country free of charge. In 2020, we became aware of a similar local group with the same goal and heart for veterans as our own, and who also train service dogs to pair them with veterans free of charge. That organization, called Mission K9 Warrior, is a part of the Georgetown American Legion Dornblaser Post 203, and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our local veterans in our community. This organization has done so much for those who fought for our freedom, and the members of Middle Fork Jeeps have been privileged to partner with Mission K9 Warrior, so that together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for us. 100% of the proceeds from The Middle Fork Jeep Fest, as well as many other events our group hosts, go to Mission K9 Warrior. We hope that you will consider partnering with them as well. We are extremely thankful for all they are doing in our community.
